What is IBS?

Irritable bowel syndrome, also known as IBS, is a long-term (chronic) gastrointestinal disorder that causes abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and/or constipation.

What are other symptoms of IBS?

Other bowel symptoms include passing mucus, urgency, feeling relief from abdominal discomfort after going to the toilet, going to the toilet more (or less) often and change in stool appearance. Symptoms are usually worse after eating.

Doctors sometimes group people with IBS into one of three categories:

1. Those with abdominal pain or discomfort, with the mains symptoms being bloating and constipation.
2. Those with abdominal pain or discomfort, with the main symptoms being urgency to get to the toilet and       diarrhea.
3. Those who alternate between constipation and diarrhe.

However, in most cases, people do not fall neatly into any one category, and there is a considerable amount of overlap.

What Causes IBS?

Unfortunately, doctors are not sure what causes IBS. People with IBS, experience extra sensitivity in the nerves and muscles in the bowel, and may also experience too much muscle contraction when they eat. Cramping and diarrhea can occur during or shortly after meals, or the nerves may react when the bowel stretches, causing cramping or pain.

The actual cause of IBS is not known but may be linked to stress, a stressful life event, anxiety or depression. It may also happen after a stomach upset or a course of antibiotics when there can be a change of bacteria in the bowel.

IBS is known by various other names such as irritable colon, spastic colon, spastic bowel, and functional bowel disease.

Is there a Cure for IBS?

There is no cure for IBS. Treatment is aimed at relieving symptoms, and includes dietary changes, relaxation techniques, medications and exercise.

Is there a specific Diet for IBS?

Some changes in eating habits can significantly help in controlling IBS symptoms. Unfortunately, there is no one specific IBS diet which works for everybody. People usually have to go through a process of trial and error until their optimum diet is achieved.

We recommend keeping a food diary in which details of your foods eaten, as well as what effect they might have had, are noted.  Eventually, you should be able to identify the major trigger foods and avoid them.

Keep in mind that foods don't actually causes IBS, however, some foods may make you feel worse. Foods that may make symptoms worse include foods high in fat or caffeine. Fat and caffeine can cause your intestines to contract, which may cause cramping.

The following are some foods you should eat and foods you should avoid:

Fibre
Fibre may reduce the constipation because it makes stool soft and easier to pass, however, some people with more sensitive nerves may feel a bit more abdominal discomfort after adding more fibre to their diet.

Fibre is found in foods such as breads, cereals, beans, fruits, and vegetables.

People with IBS symptoms should add fibre to their diet. It’s a good idea to add a little at a time to let your body get used to it, however, too much fibre at once can cause gas, which can trigger symptoms in a person with IBS.

Eat small meals.
Avoid eating large meals, because they can cause cramping and diarrhea. If this happens to you, try eating four or five small meals a day instead of less-frequent big meals.

Natural IBS Treatments, & Gastroplex 3

Gastroplex 3 is a propriety blend of three potent Red Marine Algae (RMA) seaweed, sustainably hand harvested off the pristine shores of Ireland, where the waters are continuously tested and shown to be among the cleanest in the world. The effect of Gastroplex 3 - RMA is to create an alkaline reaction in the tissues in order to rebuild healthy tissue. Gastroplex 3 - RMA therefore provides a nutritional base for improved digestion and therefore supports the immune system.

Gastroplex 3 is shown to be effective in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Candida Albicans (frequently diagnosed as IBS) and Enterococcus faecalis (gut infections). These are conditions with no known cure.

If a proper balance is not maintained, acid conditions develop within the body and too much acidity allows yeast viruses (e.g. - Candida albicans), and various other pathogens (e.g. - Enterococcus faecalis) to thrive. Acidity also leads to conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - CFS, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome - IBS.

Gastroplex 3 is the only natural formulation that destroys candida yeast cells in 7-10 days. Its anti-bacterial ability inhibits the growth of the specific bacterial species.

Similarly in numerous cases of what is frequently diagnosed as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Gastroplex 3 has been shown to detoxify the system and consequently, after regular dosage, the body learns to digest food properly and not retain the fats, allowing the bodies weight to remain constant, and in some cases it can even help you to lose weight. A degree of hunger suppression has also shown to take place.

Gastroplex 3 is a 100% natural therapeutic super food that provides the body with a full array of nutrients including complete protein, complex carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, fibre, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes, and sulfated polysaccharides.
